This paper offers an edition of an (almost complete) unpublished Byzantine letter from the collection of the Faculty of Law of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. A summary of the collection’s papyri is given in the introduction as well as a brief history of its creation. The papyrus, lacking an inventory number, probably originates from the broader Herakleopolis area based on a toponym referenced in the text. The letter deals with delays in the delivery of wine and other goods intended for use during the so-called “Holy Feast”, presumably Easter, and includes various requests of the author, perhaps someone attached to a large estate. Interestingly, a previously unknown “most noble” lady appears in the text, named Frigilla. Unfortunately, due to the bad state of preservation of the text on the verso, the name of the sender remains elusive while for the addressee some conjectures are possible.
