The research in the archives has made it possible to outline in this article the personality and the work of Giulio Farina (1889-1947), who was one of the most important Egyptologists in Italy in the first half of the 20th century. After his museum and academic experiences in Florence and Rome, he was appointed director of the Museo Egizio in Turin in 1928. From this moment on, Farina was inextricably linked to the activities of the Museum throughout the 1930s and the Second World War, until his forced retirement in 1946.
