French Egyptologists have discovered inventory-tablets and archaic vases with signs similar to hieroglyphs suggesting words. However these signs appear self-standing and not serial as per real writing, invented by the Sumerians in its primitive ideographic form and learned as a system by the Egyptians, but re-invented by them in its advanced form of logography.
